Greetings by Michael Siegal, Chairman of the Board of Governors The Jewish Agency for Israel
"Israel's Cradle" beautifully details the birthplace of our beloved State of Israel in The National Institutions Building.
In this historic structure, everyone has a place. The same is true for The Jewish Agency.
For 90 years, the National Institutions Building has been home to Jewish People of all denominations, political affiliations, and circumstances. It has been a home to The Jewish Agency, to the World Zionist Organization, Keren Hayesod - United Israel Appeal and Keren Kayemet Leisrael - Jewish National Fund. It has been a home to Jewish Federations all over the world, to Shlichim in training, to veteran and new Olim.
In this spirit, The Jewish Agency's Board of Governors, our central governing body, is comprised of leaders of Jewish communities and organizations across the globe. The Board encompasses representatives of every stream in Judaism, congregations of all sizes and origins, voices in every language and accent.
As Chairman of The Board, I am extraordinarily proud to lead this fine assemblage of dedicated visionaries, whose sole purpose is to guarantee the future of the Jewish People and I feel a distinct privilege that our Global Jewish Table convenes in this home, The National Institutions Building.
