P. 14
In order to safeguard our country, to consolidate its standing as a progressive world leader, to continue to serve as a fulcrum for Aliyah and the home for the whole of the Jewish people, KKL-JNF has set itself the goal of developing the country and addressing various national challenges, prioritizing narrowing the socioeconomic gap between the nation’s center and its geographic periphery. It is our firm conviction that a strong and thriving Galilee and Negev will be the growth engines of the country, strategically and economically bolstering the strength of the State of Israel.
KKL-JNF has therefore set itself the goal to encourage the development of communities in all corners of the country by promoting educational and employment projects, with emphasis on high-tech and other fields of technology, reinforcing the status of Israel as the start-up nation. At the same time, we continue to promote the values of Zionism, of educating the next generation by instilling in them a love of the land, of strengthening our relationship with Diaspora Jewry and to the continuing cultivation, stewardship and greening of the country’s open spaces.
Then, as now, the achievements of the National Institutions have made it possible for us to dream big. We have dreamed the impossible and made it come true, but our work is not done.
I would like to congratulate the Jewish Agency for Israel, which has been going from strength to strength for the past 90 years. May we continue to work fruitfully together to accomplish our goals and vision for the good of the Jewish people and the future of the State of Israel.
Best wishes,
Daniel Atar
KKL-JNF World Chairman
