Statement by the Chairperson of the Workers' Committee for the Jewish Agency for Israel and the World Zionist Organization, Hanan Mor
"Depart from evil, and do good." (Psalm 34:14)
On this festive day, we commemorate the 90th anniversary of the inauguration of our home, in which our historic and national identity reside - the home of the National Institutions.
The Jewish Agency for Israel and the World Zionist Organization were, and still are, the largest organizations in the world working to safeguard the future of the Jewish People. They vouch the destiny of Jewish communities in the Diaspora, whether this be through Aliyah and absorption or through projects for reinforcing Jewish identity. The National Institutions guarantee the future of the Jewish People and at its core - the State of Israel.
The Workers' Committee serves the Jewish Agency's and the World Zionist Organization's employees and pensioners efficiently, professionally and responsively. The policy charted by the Committee focuses on the employees' needs and wellbeing, while emphasizing their unique identity and sense of pride in their day-to-day contribution to Zionism.
The most important asset of the National Institutions in general, and the Jewish Agency and World Zionist Organization in particular, is its human capital. For generations, our dedicated employees and emissaries have stood at the forefront of our work; Through years of dedicated, hard work they continue to promote Aliyah to Israel, building partnerships in Israel and the Diaspora to win hearts and minds favoring Israel among world Jewry, working towards the future and continuity of the worldwide Jewish presence and reinforcing their bond and commitment to Israel.
I wish us all to continue to occupy the spaces of this historic building for many years to come, on our journey toward achieving the Jewish Agency's and World Zionist Organization's goals for the sake of Jewish people in Israel and throughout the Diaspora.
I take this opportunity to thank the author, Dr. Mordechai Naor and the publisher, Boaz Dekel of the Yehuda Dekel Library, for publishing this book.
Sincerely,
Hanan Mor
Chairperson of the Workers' Committee and Retirement Division
